Sometimes wild animals need our help. If you find an animal in need of assistance, it is important to remember that they are wild and not used to human contact. They will be scared and their instinct will most likely be to get as far away from you as possible.
Take care when handling any wild animal and only do so if there is no other option. If possible, wear thick gloves to protect yourself and a towel or blanket to cover the animal.
In an emergency we will see any species that needs our help. For wild animals though, we recommend where possible that you get in touch with a specialist rescue organisation.
